古时候有个人很会酿酒，

家里却养了条厉害的狗。

每逢有客人提壶来打酒，

那凶恶的狗就拦在门口，

龇牙咧嘴样子实在吓人，

咬不到人它就狂叫不休，

顾客大都见了恶狗就走，

这样只能卖掉很少的酒。

酒虽好由于卖掉的不多，

时间久就变得又酸又臭。

这说明险恶的环境会使人望而却步，

卖酒人应把这教训接受。

干事业做生意有相通之处，

要尽量为后来者把障碍扫除。

The Dog Bites，The Wine Sours

Once there was a man who brewed good wine，but he raised a very vicious dog at home.When a cus⁃tomer came with a bottle to buy the wine，the vicious dog would bark furiously to hinder their entrance.The way it showed its biting teeth was quite fearful.If it couldn't bite it would bark furiously.When the cus⁃tomers saw this they ran away.So the wine he sold was only a small amount.His wine was good but he sold little.By and by the wine went sour.

This means that bad circumstances will make people withdraw.It is a lesson the wine brewer should learn，whether for work or business it is the same idea.One should try his best to pave the way for his customers.
